The Weekly Edit

This week we focus on laundries and the importance on practicality and function within the space.

We also touch on Biophilic Design and showcase Style & Savour food and fashion retreats to Australia!

1. Laundry Love

Whilst washing is a tedious task, the laundry itself does not need to be mundane! A well-designed laundry room optimises space utilisation, providing adequate storage for cleaning agents and essentials, thereby enhancing organisation and accessibility.

Efficient layout and ergonomic design elements, such as counter space for sorting and folding clothes, areas for drying racks and room for manoeuvrability, contribute to a seamless laundry routine. Thoughtful use of colour schemes, lighting and materials can transform a mundane laundry space into an appealing environment.

We love laundries and being a female dominated team understand the need for both functionality and appeal so if you want a laundry makeover get in touch today!

2. Biophilic Design

Biophilic design advocates for the seamless integration of natural elements into every aspect of interior spaces, creating environments that evoke a sense of connection with the natural world.

We currently have a lovely client where “natural elements’ is a huge focus so how do we achieve this look? Incorporating flowers, foliage, and indoor plants with dedicated spaces will infuse rooms with life and vitality. Using organic materials like wood, linen and wool creates a tactile connection to surroundings.

Most importantly, large windows, skylights, and strategically placed mirrors can help amplify natural light and create a sense of openness and connection to the outdoors. These can all enhance overall well-being.

 3. Style & Savour Retreats

The symbiotic relationship between interiors and fashion is beautifully expressed in the notion that what you have in your home and what you wear are authentic reflections of your personal style and identity.

Lou Heller and Daisy Dagg have just launched their website for their food and fashion retreats to Australia. A dream escape for you where they redefine self-care and provide a well-deserved break away. They are shaking things up with VIP shopping experiences, wine tours, food markets, cooking classes, exquisite dining experiences and more. Just think, the female equivalent to a golf, fishing or rugby tour.. this one is for you ladies!

4. Katy's Mini Edit

Loving for 2024

As the weather starts cooling down, I am on the hunt for a winter coat and have become totally obsessed with some from Holland Cooper. They are on the expensive side for sure but surely they are an investment piece right?

Design Tip

Fuse your fashion sense with your interior design by finding inspirations for colour and patterns in items like scarves and handbags. This can help add a unique touch of your personality to your home interior and decor.

Tips For April

Invest in cosy outdoor furniture for sheltered patio areas - outdoor area blinds, outdoor heating and cosy blankets to extend the usability of your outdoor spaces in the upcoming cooler months.
