Father's Day Cocktail
Maple Old Fashioned
Superstar Liv and talented foodie from Dins with Liv has returned to create a special Father's Day drink. The perfect excuse to take pause and enjoy a warming drink together. Let Dad put his feet up and treat him to a classic and delicious whiskey cocktail! This is a super simple bourbon-based cocktail for you to create at home tonight with a few other ingredients you already have in the pantry. Win, win!!
INGREDIENTS
60ml (2 oz) bourbon
10ml maple syrup
3-4 dashes of bitters
Handful of ice + giant ice cube
Orange peel
METHOD
Add the bourbon, maple syrup and bitters to a mixing glass and stir well with plenty of ice.
Strain into a whisky glass with a giant ice cube. Run your orange peel around the rim of the glass then twist it over the top to release the beautiful, zesty oils.
Garnish with the orange peel - A sharp knife is essential for removing the peel from the fruit without also removing too much of the bitter. If your knife skills aren’t great, a vegetable peeler is the perfect tool for the job.
