The Weekly Seven with Kate

Mar 21, 2021

Phew! Another week, done and dusted.
Welcome to our brand new Weekly Seven series, where we can sit down - take a breath and reflect on the week that was. Here's a round up of all the gorgeous things I am loving this week, be sure to check them out and let us know what you think!

 1. Adonis Traditional Turkish Rugs

My gosh!

We cannot get enough of these breath-taking Turkish inspired rugs. This week I'm all about cultivating my inner Global Spirit.  Even though we can't travel, I love swooning over these beautiful pieces from around the globe. We have showered our beautiful showroom floor in these Turkish rugs and they definitely stop me in my tracks daily.

 2. Watermelon and Gin Fizz

Summer may be over, but that's not stopping me sipping on my favourite Sunday afternoon drink.

These are so incredibly delicious and refreshing.

 3. Pleated To Pattern

Window eye-candy don't you think?!!!

Absolutely thrilled with how these gorgeous pleated to pattern curtains came out for our English Garden Residence - click the image to view our full portfolio.

 4. Cavallini and Co Vintage Puzzles

We have just had more of these gorgeous vintage-look puzzles land at Feather & Oak - I'm struggling to pick my favourite!  I'm definitely grabbing a couple to take away for the coming Easter Weekend - it's such a fun way to spend time with the family because no one can resist puzzle pieces scattered on the table!!!

 5. Crusoe Wall Art

We are loving these stunning wall decor pieces that have landed at the Feather & Oak HQ!
Simplistic yet stunning, this large circular piece of wall decor was created using the Shou Sugi Ban (surface charred) techique.

Shou Sugi Ban 焼杉板 (or Yakisugi) is an ancient Japanese exterior wood preservation technique that preserves the wood by charring the surface with fire.  They are all handcrafted using natural teak timber and at 1m dia definitely shout style.  Can I sneak this onto the wall at home without anyone noticing??

 6. The Bridget Trainer

Eep! Our fashionista neighbour and friend, Bridget, from Magpie Style has just landed these gorgeous trainers by Kathryn Wilson - not for the wallflower!  The Bridget Trainer is a fabulous addition to your wardrobe, with its double zebra and cheetah print it brings a fun zest to your wardrobe and is super comfortable too.

 7. Gingko Accordian Lamp

This beautiful accordion-inspired ambient light transforms into whatever shape you want and it is also a perfect example of a lighting design that doesn’t just illuminate… it interacts too!  They have just landed here with us and we struggle to put it down!!

The folding/foldable lamp comes a pleated Tyvek-paper shade sitting between two pieces of wood. The lamp’s lights illuminate through the pleated paper, while the Tyvek’s folded nature allows you to maneuver the lamp like a slinky, adjusting it in a variety of shapes and forms.  I love that it recharges like my iPhone - no cords and no replacement batteries!!!

See you next week!
With love,
Kate xx
