Urban Tranquility

It's not often that those two things 'urban and tranquil ' go hand-in-hand, but take a peek at this beautiful, urban sanctuary in the heart of Fendalton.  With riverside views and a private pool outlook you can see why this home challenges any preconceived notions about city living.

We were briefed with bringing a modern and clean interior to this architecturally designed new build by Sheppard and Rout Architects and builders, Wyatt Construction.  Our long-time clients appreciate a paired back interior that allows a simple colour palette and high-end finishes to shine amongst the architectural details.

The serene tree-lined driveway and exterior landscaping sets the tone for what is to come in this modern urban oasis.  Neutral colours of dark grey, white and oak, link the exterior with the interior design.

An American white oak island paired with Foundry - Resene painted cabinets and touches of brass hardware bring a warmth to the kitchen.  The materials link with the living zone where fit-out around the fireplace and soft furnishings echo the colour palette.

Automated roller blinds tuck away out of site within a pelmet and provide the option of light control and privacy across the large doors in the living space and beautiful black custom shutters provide a feature in the smaller windows.

A scullery of dreams!!  The full wall-to-wall cabinetry provides for all storage needs as well as hiding integrated appliances for the ultimate prep zone.

The media room was created with a beautiful moody paint on the walls, ceiling and trim and echoed through the cabinetry and black shutters.  Comfortable cognac leather sofas complete the movie watching vibe!

Additional features of a home gym, sauna, and home office complete this luxury inner-city Christchurch home.  We loved working on this project from concept to completion and are sure there will be lots of opportunity to enjoy the sanctuary of home.
