The Weekly Seven with Katy

Sep 11, 2021

Hello Sunday - we meet again!

We were so excited to re-open the showroom doors last week and see all of your lovely faces! Thank-you for your support once again throughout the lockdown period.

Head to the blog, grab a cuppa and enjoy all of the beautiful things I am loving this week.

 1. Orla Kiely

Oh boy! I am crushing big time on this Orla Kiely collection - she is an acclaimed Irish designer, renowned for her retro inspired designs and 1970s styling.

Her designs embody colour and pattern, with a narrative both considered and playful....

Think cut velvets, slubby cottons and stunning graphic sheers the fabrics are striking in tones of mustard, olive, charcoal, misty grey, jade, powder blue, dark marine, tea rose and candy pink.

 2. Odisha Dance

Coming soon to the Arte family is this absolutely breathtaking Panoramic - Odisha Dance, Showcasing the ancient traditional Indian dance. It breathes rhythm and exuberance. This hand-painted scene has been translated to textile with a linen look. We have so many beautiful wallpapers at our fingertips so do keep an eye out for our new catalogue.

 3. Thank YOU!

We were so excited to welcome Level 2 here in Canterbury and re-open the showroom doors to see all of your lovely faces. From the bottom of my heart- myself & the team want to thank you for your decision to support local over lockdown. I'm grateful for each and every one of you! We hope wherever your are in the country you are well & safe.

 4. Finding Your Style

I had a blast on the blog this week unearthing one of my favourite design styles - Mid Century Modern! If you love good design, clean lines, organic sculptural forms, geometric patterns and timeless appeal - Mid Century Modern may be just for you! Head to the blog to find out about this style type and how you can incorporate it into the home.

 5. Reid Armchair

We have had a whole lot of wonderful arrivals into the showroom - which you can now browse & shop online! Yay! The ever so popular Reid leather armchair has made a sneaky comeback. The one of a kind backrest features joined canvas and leather straps held together with a brass buckle, making for a bit of wow factor!!

 6. LED Artwork

I'm loving these two statement art prints - with a little light-up surprise! The backs of these prints are intertwined with LED lights that sparkle with 3 different settings. How fun! Wall art is my favourite way to bring some personality and life into the home - and these pieces are nothing short of bold, playful and beautiful.

 7. Iron Arch

Celebrating my love for all things Mid Century Modern this week I just had to show you my favourite mirror - this Iron Arch Pane mirror stands beautifully at just shy of 2 metres high. It offers intricate pane detailing. It's tall enough to use as a full length dressing mirror, and would also make a bold statement when displayed as a pair.
