The Weekly Seven

Hello Sunday! Here are some of my favourite things this week including some beautiful, fresh colours and an exciting project update.

1.   Ertha Fabric

Ertha is an original screen printed contemporary check, crafted using natural dyes such as elderberry, red cabbage and logwood. In two nature inspired colourways, subtle inky irregularities run across the soft fabric, alluding to its handmade origins. This fabric looks absolutely gorgeous made up into curtains!

2. Bachelors Button Wallpaper

Inspired by an archive pattern book by William Morris with Bachelors Button on the cover, this design was the catalyst for Ben Pentreath’s Queen Square Collection. This pattern has been given a modern twist with contemporary colours and an undeniable vibrancy creating a show-stopper of a wallpaper. This wallpaper also comes in a beautiful matching fabric!

 3. New Build Decisions

One of our team is on the building journey and one of the things that we discuss often is... What is the purpose of the build?

If building a home that you plan to be in for many years to come and it's your dream home, then you can be a little braver with finishes and make it truly your own. If building a investment home, you will want to play it safer so that the home has broad appeal to others, and you will want to make cost effective choices with your finishes.

 4. Styling Tip

This time of year is a wonderful time to refresh your space and make your home a cosy sanctuary. We spend more time indoors over these chilly months so why not make this the time to create your dream space. When we refresh a room we often start by paring back to the basics. What are the biggest and most important elements in your room and then build your look from there. If you need a little guidance why not book a styling date today?

 5. Paris For The Weekend

We are really excited to be part of the move and refresh of the well-loved 'Paris For The Weekend' café in Kaiapoi. Watch this space as the café gets lifted and moved towards the stop-bank creating impressive river views from the newly installed decking - all with a touch of Parisian flair! This pretty building will also be getting a new coat of paint and some stunning lighting. Watch this space!!

 6. Beautiful Sheers

There are many benefits to having sheer curtains. Privacy, filtered light and they even provide an element of cosiness through winter months. Your fabric choice is very important when picking the right sheer curtains and not all fabrics are created equal! Some will not stand up to sunlight as well as others therefore choosing the right combination for durability and insulation is really important. Come and chat to our team today to learn more.

 7. Family Time

We were lucky enough to spend some time in Queenstown a few weeks ago hanging out with Edward who has worked there for two and a half years now! The time has flown that is for sure!!

We soaked up some beautiful scenery and the autumn colours never fail to impress. We did a quick day trip to Milford Sound and stopped off to visit the glow worms at Te Anau. It was really special to all be together making memories and enjoying our beautiful South Island outdoors.

Favourite eating out spot - Slow Cuts in Arrowtown. Highly recommend!
