The Weekly Seven

Hello Sunday! Here are some of my favourite things this week - as we officially say goodbye to those long summer nights!

1.  Goldstone Wallpaper

Goldstone features a mass of shimmering marbled flecks of gold and silver on grounds of pale green, ivory, jet black, and ebony. This is a super fun way to add some glam into that special space!!

2. Casamance Alpage Fabric

Alpage is an heavily textured knitted look combining wool, polyamide, cotton and fancy yarns. Alpage means mountain pasture and given the icy drop in temperatures we have experienced in recent nights this fabric would make an amazing throw or snuggly cushions.

 3. Magnifying Glass with Rope Covered Spring

We love this for the person who lives at their desk! It also makes for an interesting piece of décor or the occasional ability to view documents in a larger size when you can't find your glasses!

 4. Bowling Set

Think English gardens and weddings. This classic bowling set is fabulous as both home décor and a fun game when friends or family are around. The pretty grey washed basket would suit lots of interiors becuase this is far too pretty to put away when not in use.

 5. Prism Crystal Tumbler

Prism Crystal Tumblers combine iconic style with supreme functionality. Crystalline angles evoke natural gem formations, refracting light through your drink.

A slight flair towards the rim creates the perfect sip - which we can totally attest to as this was one of the favourite glasses to drink from at our cocktail party last year!

 6. Dixie Chicken Recipe

As we ease into cooler weather our thoughts turn to comfort food. And what could be more comforting than a hearty meal cooked slowly in a crock pot? Our Dixie Chicken Recipe is still one of our most loved recipes on the blog. It's hearty, warming and delicious! Get the recipe on the blog.

 7. Daylight Savings Ends

That's the end of daylight savings and it's time to hunker down for cosy nights at home. Here are some of my tips for getting through the darker, colder days. I love lighting a scented candle and putting on the snuggliest knitwear and slippers. I also love using fairy lights in the kid's room and anything that helps build cosiness indoors. There is also nothing like lighting the fire so there is all that loveliness to look forward to at the end of the day!

Goodbye for now summer!!
